Based in Dubai, Arlene Gomez, known professionally as DJ Arlene, is a multi-talented vocalist and instrumentalist skilled in piano and guitar. She began her career at 18 as Bangalore’s first female DJ and quickly rose to prominence as one of India’s top female DJs. Over two decades, her music has matured, earning her widespread respect in the industry.
DJ Arlene’s musical journey started in the funky house genre with an internship at The Bunker, a popular spot in Bangalore, in 2001. Her style evolved to include a deep and serious sound, specializing in various forms of electronic music such as house, minimal tech, techno, and psytrance. Known for her versatility, she also excels in hip hop, dancehall, funk, retro, rock, and lounge music. DJ Arlene has performed across India and internationally, including in Nepal, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Dubai, and Bangkok.
Since relocating to Dubai in 2015, she has held residencies at prestigious venues such as Sofitel Downtown Dubai and Radisson Blu. She has entertained at numerous private events throughout the UAE and performed at the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
