Bart The Raver Presents: Secta Review & What’s Coming Up Over Summer in Dubai
Last weekend, Secta delivered.
What a night.
The main room was firing on all cylinders. Rose-End, Ju Lovett and Lars Huismann served up exactly the kind of driving techno that keeps a dancefloor locked in for hours. No gimmicks, just quality selections and a crowd fully committed to the cause.
Then there was the back room.
Smoke-filled, intimate, almost hidden away from the madness outside. A lone DJ seated behind the decks, taking the room on a journey rather than delivering peak-time bangers. A completely different energy, but equally captivating. The kind of setup that reminds you why underground clubbing still matters.

The Shift Is Here
With winter season now firmly behind us and outdoor venues closing their doors until temperatures become bearable again, things have settled down.
We saw a final burst of international bookings in late April and May. Now the spotlight shifts back where it belongs during the summer months: local talent and local promoters.
The good news? Dubai’s underground scene has never relied solely on international headliners.
The Crews Holding It Down
Expect plenty of action from:
- Secta Collective
- Moist Paper Party
- Hardgroove
- Ravers in Dubai
- Emirates DnB
- Blastphemy
- Coven
- Jack
- Synyx
…and many many more.
Together they’ll be keeping the underground alive with near-weekly events throughout the summer.
And if all else fails, there is always Soho Garden, faithfully carrying the torch from Thursday through Sunday, week after week.

Summer may have arrived, but the dancefloors aren’t going anywhere.
See you in the smoke, strobes and basslines.
